This month’s workshop on avoiding gift card scams will arm you with what you need to know before buying those last-minute holiday gifts.

About the Event

A 2022 AARP survey found that 1 in 4 respondents said they had given or received a gift card that turned out to have no value on it. According to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), gift card scams are also the most common way scammers seek money from their targets.

In this 30-minute webinar, hear from the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection about how scammers use gift card scams to defraud people and how to keep yourself safe.
