Hit the Hiking Trail on New Year's Day

Celebrate the New Year by joining one of the First Day Hikes taking place at more than 20 Oklahoma state parks on Wednesday, Jan. 1.

The guided walks, sponsored by AARP, offer people a way to kick off the year with a healthy activity. Participants should dress warmly and wear sturdy shoes.

For locations and times, go to aarp.org/okoutdoorexperience. At that site, you can also request a free AARP Oklahoma Healthy Habits Kit and enter a sweepstakes to win camping equipment.
