High above the Mississippi, tucked nicely in the hills near historic Galena, Chestnut Mountain is a premier Illinois resort that offers nineteen trails & a 7 acre terrain park "The Farside" featuring over 25 rails & features. Chestnut span over 220 rolling acres with a total vertical drop of 475 feet. Midwesterners love their elbow room and Chestnut Mountain is no exception. Thanks to two quads, four triple chair lifts, and three surface lifts, lines are virtually non-existent.When darkness falls, great skiing and awesome views continue outside. But that's also just about the time things get exciting inside. Chestnut Mountain has 100 slopeside rooms in close proximity to an indoor pool, sauna and jacuzzi. The Sunset Grille restaurant serves up fine dining favorites and The Summit Food & Spirits offers the area's finest contemporary cuisine with a modern flair. The Summit serves an array of handcrafted beers & wines and is a great place to catch any game on one of it's 12 TVs. If you are just looking for a quick bite to eat. Stop by our Mountain Top Cafe which is conveniently located just off the bunny slope.During summertime there is no shortage of activities for the young or young at heart. Ride the Alpine Slide or cruise the river on a Mississippi Explorer Cruise. Bike or hike trails showcasing our area's unique geologic beauty. Or test your short game on our 18-hole mini golf course. Chestnut span over 220 rolling acres with a total vertical drop of 475 feet. Midwesterners love their elbow room and Chestnut Mountain is no exception. Thanks to two quads, four triple chair lifts, and three surface lifts, lines are virtually non-existent.When darkness falls, great skiing and awesome views continue outside. Chestnut span over 220 rolling acres with a total vertical drop of 475 feet. Midwesterners love their elbow room and Chestnut Mountain is no exception. Thanks to two quads, four triple chair lifts, and three surface lifts, lines are virtually non-existent.When darkness falls, great skiing and awesome views continue outside. But that's also just about the time things get exciting inside. Chestnut Mountain has 100 slopeside rooms in close proximity to an indoor pool, sauna and jacuzzi. The Sunset Grille restaurant serves up fine dining favorites and The Summit Food &amp; Spirits offers the area's finest contemporary cuisine with a modern flair. Chestnut span over 220 rolling acres with a total vertical drop of 475 feet. Midwesterners love their elbow room and Chestnut Mountain is no exception. Thanks to two quads, four triple chair lifts, and three surface lifts, lines are virtually non-existent.When darkness falls, great skiing and awesome views continue outside. Chestnut span over 220 rolling acres with a total vertical drop of 475 feet. Midwesterners love their elbow room and Chestnut Mountain is no exception. Thanks to two quads, four triple chair lifts, and three surface lifts, lines are virtually non-existent.When darkness falls, great skiing and awesome views continue outside. But that's also just about the time things get exciting inside. Chestnut Mountain has 100 slopeside rooms in close proximity to an indoor pool, sauna and jacuzzi. The Sunset Grille restaurant serves up fine dining favorites and The Summit Food &amp; Spirits offers the area's finest contemporary cuisine with a modern flair. The Summit serves an array of handcrafted beers &amp; wines and is a great place to catch any game on one of it's 12 TVs. If you are just looking for a quick bite to eat. Chestnut span over 220 rolling acres with a total vertical drop of 475 feet. Midwesterners love their elbow room and Chestnut Mountain is no exception. Thanks to two quads, four triple chair lifts, and three surface lifts, lines are virtually non-existent.When darkness falls, great skiing and awesome views continue outside. Chestnut span over 220 rolling acres with a total vertical drop of 475 feet. Midwesterners love their elbow room and Chestnut Mountain is no exception. Thanks to two quads, four triple chair lifts, and three surface lifts, lines are virtually non-existent.When darkness falls, great skiing and awesome views continue outside. But that's also just about the time things get exciting inside. Chestnut Mountain has 100 slopeside rooms in close proximity to an indoor pool, sauna and jacuzzi. The Sunset Grille restaurant serves up fine dining favorites and The Summit Food &amp; Spirits offers the area's finest contemporary cuisine with a modern flair.
