A natural retreat in the Lowcountry woods, Givhans Ferry State Park sits at the end of the 21-mile long stretch of Edisto River kayaking paradise known as the Edisto River kayak and canoe trail that begins at Colleton State Park.

The Edisto is the longest free-flowing, blackwater river in North America, and glimpses of it can be seen from the bluffs outside the rustic, Givhans Ferry State Park cabins, as well as from the back porch of Riverfront Hall, a group gathering facility. A shaded campground, nature trail and picnic shelters are also available at the park.

Fishing Information: Enjoy fishing in the Edisto River for flathead, catfish, red breast, channel catfish, largemouth bass, striped bass, shellcrackers, blue catfish and eels. A valid South Carolina fishing license is required.Fishing: YesFreshwater Fishing: YesBoating and Boat Access: Access on the Edisto River is available at a drop off area. A boat ramp is located three miles from the park. A canoe trail between Colleton and Givhans Ferry is 21 miles by river and 15 miles by highway. Seven to nine hours paddling time is required for the full distance depending on current.Paddling: YesPlayground Equipment: YesPicnic Shelters: YesPlayground: The playground is located across from the Community Building.Swimming: Swimming is permitted in the Edisto River. There is no designated swimming area and all swimming is at your own risk.Bird Watching: Bird watching is a popular activity at the park. Numerous species can be spotted along the trails and river.Biking: YesBirding: YesOther Facilities and Activities: The park also has volleyball courts, horseshoe pits and games are available for check out at the park office.Walking/Nature Trails: The River Bluff Nature Trail is a moderate 1.5 miles. 						<p>A natural retreat in the Lowcountry woods, Givhans Ferry State Park sits at the end of the 21-mile long stretch of Edisto River kayaking paradise known as the Edisto River kayak and canoe trail that begins at Colleton State Park.</p>
<p>The Edisto is the longest free-flowing, blackwater river in North America, and glimpses of it can be seen from the bluffs outside the rustic, Givhans Ferry State Park cabins, as well as from the back porch of Riverfront Hall, a group gathering facility. A shaded campground, nature trail and picnic shelters are also available at the park.</p>
<p>Enjoy Edisto River kayaking and canoeing, trails, fishing and more at Givhans Ferry State Park. Cabins and campsites are available&ndash;reserve yours today! Explore another Lowcountry South Carolina park at Lake Warren!</p>
<p>Fishing Information: Enjoy fishing in the Edisto River for flathead, catfish, red breast, channel catfish, largemouth bass, striped bass, shellcrackers, blue catfish and eels. A valid South Carolina fishing license is required.Fishing: YesFreshwater Fishing: YesBoating and Boat Access: Access on the Edisto River is available at a drop off area. A boat ramp is located three miles from the park. A canoe trail between Colleton and Givhans Ferry is 21 miles by river and 15 miles by highway. Seven to nine hours paddling time is required for the full distance depending on current.Paddling: YesPlayground Equipment: YesPicnic Shelters: YesPlayground: The playground is located across from the Community Building.Swimming: Swimming is permitted in the Edisto River. There is no designated swimming area and all swimming is at your own risk.Bird Watching: Bird watching is a popular activity at the park. Numerous species can be spotted along the trails and river.Biking: YesBirding: YesOther Facilities and Activities: The park also has volleyball courts, horseshoe pits and games are available for check out at the park office.Walking/Nature Trails: The River Bluff Nature Trail is a moderate 1.5 miles. This multi-purpose trail may be used for hiking or biking.Hiking: YesCAMPINGCamping Information: Each site has individual water and electrical hookups. Some sites accommodate RV's up to 40 feet.Thirteen sites are packed gravel while 12 sites, ideal for tent campers, are packed sand. 						<p>A natural retreat in the Lowcountry woods, Givhans Ferry State Park sits at the end of the 21-mile long stretch of Edisto River kayaking paradise known as the Edisto River kayak and canoe trail that begins at Colleton State Park.</p>
<p>The Edisto is the longest free-flowing, blackwater river in North America, and glimpses of it can be seen from the bluffs outside the rustic, Givhans Ferry State Park cabins, as well as from the back porch of Riverfront Hall, a group gathering facility. A shaded campground, nature trail and picnic shelters are also available at the park.</p>
<p>Enjoy Edisto River kayaking and canoeing, trails, fishing and more at Givhans Ferry State Park. Cabins and campsites are available&ndash;reserve yours today! Explore another Lowcountry South Carolina park at Lake Warren!</p>
<p>Fishing Information: Enjoy fishing in the Edisto River for flathead, catfish, red breast, channel catfish, largemouth bass, striped bass, shellcrackers, blue catfish and eels. A valid South Carolina fishing license is required.Fishing: YesFreshwater Fishing: YesBoating and Boat Access: Access on the Edisto River is available at a drop off area. A boat ramp is located three miles from the park. A canoe trail between Colleton and Givhans Ferry is 21 miles by river and 15 miles by highway. Seven to nine hours paddling time is required for the full distance depending on current.Paddling: YesPlayground Equipment: YesPicnic Shelters: YesPlayground: The playground is located across from the Community Building.Swimming: Swimming is permitted in the Edisto River. There is no designated swimming area and all swimming is at your own risk.Bird Watching: Bird watching is a popular activity at the park. Numerous species can be spotted along the trails and river.Biking: YesBirding: YesOther Facilities and Activities: The park also has volleyball courts, horseshoe pits and games are available for check out at the park office.Walking/Nature Trails: The River Bluff Nature Trail is a moderate 1.5 miles. This multi-purpose trail may be used for hiking or biking.Hiking: YesCAMPINGCamping Information: Each site has individual water and electrical hookups. Some sites accommodate RV's up to 40 feet.Thirteen sites are packed gravel while 12 sites, ideal for tent campers, are packed sand. The campground is convenient to restroom facilities with hot showers. </p>		</div>

						<p>A natural retreat in the Lowcountry woods, Givhans Ferry State Park sits at the end of the 21-mile long stretch of Edisto River kayaking paradise known as the Edisto River kayak and canoe trail that begins at Colleton State Park.</p>
<p>The Edisto is the longest free-flowing, blackwater river in North America, and glimpses of it can be seen from the bluffs outside the rustic, Givhans Ferry State Park cabins, as well as from the back porch of Riverfront Hall, a group gathering facility. A shaded campground, nature trail and picnic shelters are also available at the park.</p>

A valid South Carolina fishing license is required.Fishing: YesFreshwater Fishing: YesBoating and Boat Access: Access on the Edisto River is available at a drop off area. A boat ramp is located three miles from the park. A canoe trail between Colleton and Givhans Ferry is 21 miles by river and 15 miles by highway. Seven to nine hours paddling time is required for the full distance depending on current.Paddling: YesPlayground Equipment: YesPicnic Shelters: YesPlayground: The playground is located across from the Community Building.Swimming: Swimming is permitted in the Edisto River. There is no designated swimming area and all swimming is at your own risk.Bird Watching: Bird watching is a popular activity at the park. 						<p>A natural retreat in the Lowcountry woods, Givhans Ferry State Park sits at the end of the 21-mile long stretch of Edisto River kayaking paradise known as the Edisto River kayak and canoe trail that begins at Colleton State Park.</p>
<p>The Edisto is the longest free-flowing, blackwater river in North America, and glimpses of it can be seen from the bluffs outside the rustic, Givhans Ferry State Park cabins, as well as from the back porch of Riverfront Hall, a group gathering facility. A shaded campground, nature trail and picnic shelters are also available at the park.</p>
<p>Enjoy Edisto River kayaking and canoeing, trails, fishing and more at Givhans Ferry State Park. Cabins and campsites are available&ndash;reserve yours today! Explore another Lowcountry South Carolina park at Lake Warren!</p>
<p>Fishing Information: Enjoy fishing in the Edisto River for flathead, catfish, red breast, channel catfish, largemouth bass, striped bass, shellcrackers, blue catfish and eels. A valid South Carolina fishing license is required.Fishing: YesFreshwater Fishing: YesBoating and Boat Access: Access on the Edisto River is available at a drop off area. A boat ramp is located three miles from the park. A canoe trail between Colleton and Givhans Ferry is 21 miles by river and 15 miles by highway. Seven to nine hours paddling time is required for the full distance depending on current.Paddling: YesPlayground Equipment: YesPicnic Shelters: YesPlayground: The playground is located across from the Community Building.Swimming: Swimming is permitted in the Edisto River. There is no designated swimming area and all swimming is at your own risk.Bird Watching: Bird watching is a popular activity at the park. Numerous species can be spotted along the trails and river.Biking: YesBirding: YesOther Facilities and Activities: The park also has volleyball courts, horseshoe pits and games are available for check out at the park office.Walking/Nature Trails: The River Bluff Nature Trail is a moderate 1.5 miles. This multi-purpose trail may be used for hiking or biking.Hiking: YesCAMPINGCamping Information: Each site has individual water and electrical hookups. Some sites accommodate RV's up to 40 feet.Thirteen sites are packed gravel while 12 sites, ideal for tent campers, are packed sand. The campground is convenient to restroom facilities with hot showers. </p>		</div>

A boat ramp is located three miles from the park. A canoe trail between Colleton and Givhans Ferry is 21 miles by river and 15 miles by highway. 						<p>A natural retreat in the Lowcountry woods, Givhans Ferry State Park sits at the end of the 21-mile long stretch of Edisto River kayaking paradise known as the Edisto River kayak and canoe trail that begins at Colleton State Park.</p>
<p>The Edisto is the longest free-flowing, blackwater river in North America, and glimpses of it can be seen from the bluffs outside the rustic, Givhans Ferry State Park cabins, as well as from the back porch of Riverfront Hall, a group gathering facility. A shaded campground, nature trail and picnic shelters are also available at the park.</p>
<p>Enjoy Edisto River kayaking and canoeing, trails, fishing and more at Givhans Ferry State Park. Cabins and campsites are available&ndash;reserve yours today! Explore another Lowcountry South Carolina park at Lake Warren!</p>
<p>Fishing Information: Enjoy fishing in the Edisto River for flathead, catfish, red breast, channel catfish, largemouth bass, striped bass, shellcrackers, blue catfish and eels. A valid South Carolina fishing license is required.Fishing: YesFreshwater Fishing: YesBoating and Boat Access: Access on the Edisto River is available at a drop off area. A boat ramp is located three miles from the park. A canoe trail between Colleton and Givhans Ferry is 21 miles by river and 15 miles by highway. Seven to nine hours paddling time is required for the full distance depending on current.Paddling: YesPlayground Equipment: YesPicnic Shelters: YesPlayground: The playground is located across from the Community Building.Swimming: Swimming is permitted in the Edisto River. There is no designated swimming area and all swimming is at your own risk.Bird Watching: Bird watching is a popular activity at the park. Numerous species can be spotted along the trails and river.Biking: YesBirding: YesOther Facilities and Activities: The park also has volleyball courts, horseshoe pits and games are available for check out at the park office.Walking/Nature Trails: The River Bluff Nature Trail is a moderate 1.5 miles. This multi-purpose trail may be used for hiking or biking.Hiking: YesCAMPINGCamping Information: Each site has individual water and electrical hookups. Some sites accommodate RV's up to 40 feet.Thirteen sites are packed gravel while 12 sites, ideal for tent campers, are packed sand. The campground is convenient to restroom facilities with hot showers. </p>		</div>

						<p>A natural retreat in the Lowcountry woods, Givhans Ferry State Park sits at the end of the 21-mile long stretch of Edisto River kayaking paradise known as the Edisto River kayak and canoe trail that begins at Colleton State Park.</p>
<p>The Edisto is the longest free-flowing, blackwater river in North America, and glimpses of it can be seen from the bluffs outside the rustic, Givhans Ferry State Park cabins, as well as from the back porch of Riverfront Hall, a group gathering facility. A shaded campground, nature trail and picnic shelters are also available at the park.</p>

<p>Fishing Information: Enjoy fishing in the Edisto River for flathead, catfish, red breast, channel catfish, largemouth bass, striped bass, shellcrackers, blue catfish and eels. A valid South Carolina fishing license is required.Fishing: YesFreshwater Fishing: YesBoating and Boat Access: Access on the Edisto River is available at a drop off area. A boat ramp is located three miles from the park. A canoe trail between Colleton and Givhans Ferry is 21 miles by river and 15 miles by highway. Seven to nine hours paddling time is required for the full distance depending on current.Paddling: YesPlayground Equipment: YesPicnic Shelters: YesPlayground: The playground is located across from the Community Building.Swimming: Swimming is permitted in the Edisto River. There is no designated swimming area and all swimming is at your own risk.Bird Watching: Bird watching is a popular activity at the park. Numerous species can be spotted along the trails and river.Biking: YesBirding: YesOther Facilities and Activities: The park also has volleyball courts, horseshoe pits and games are available for check out at the park office.Walking/Nature Trails: The River Bluff Nature Trail is a moderate 1.5 miles.
