Lake Greenwood State Park is known locally as the host site for the South Carolina Festival of Flowers Triathlon held each June. In addition to hosting the annual triathlon, the park provides year-round opportunities for excellent South Carolina bass fishing, boating, and offers shoreline campsites and nature trails.The park was one of 16 built by the CCC and many of the original structures built by the work teams remain standing as fine examples of classic CCC architecture. The history and contributions to all South Carolina State Parks are commemorated in an interactive exhibit at the CCC Museum in the Drummond Center.Come to Lake Greenwood State Park and compete in the annual triathlon or take a leisurely stroll on the nature trails and enjoy some great South Carolina bass fishing.If you’re fascinated by CCC architecture, you’ll enjoy more amazing historic structures in South Carolina State Parks, including one of the finest plantation homes of the South at Rose Hill Plantation State Historic Site and the only one of the historic lighthouses in South Carolina still open to the public at Hunting Island State Park.

Fishing Information: Enjoy fishing in Lake Greenwood for bass, crappie, bream, perch, catfish, stripers. A valid South Carolina fishing license is required.Fishing Pier: There is a small fishing pier located near Shelter #1.Fishing: YesFreshwater Fishing: YesBoating and Boat Access: Two boat ramps provide private boat acces to Lake Greenwood.Boating: YesBoat Ramp: YesPlayground Equipment: YesPicnic Shelters: YesPlayground: Our park playgrounds are located in the Shelter #1 area. One playground is ideal for children 2-5 years of age and the other is suited for children 5-12 years of age.Swimming: Swimming is allowed in Lake Greenwood at your own risk. There is no designated swimming are and no lifeguards. Swimming is not allowed around boat ramps, the courtest dock or the fishing pier.Bird Watching: Birdwatching is available at the park with a multitude of birds to enjoy year round.Birding: YesWalking/Nature Trails: The 0.8-mile nature trail begins at the recreation building located in campground #1.Hiking: YesCAMPINGCamping Information: The camping area provides easy access to the shoreline of Lake Greenwood. 125 paved sites may be used by both RVs and tents. Each site has water and electrical hook-ups and a picnic table. Many paved sites accommodate RVs up to 40 feet. All sites are convenient to hot showers and restrooms
