Home of Texas LegendsLyndon B. Johnson, our 36th presi­dent, was born and raised in the Texas Hill Country. But his story is not the only one told here. Experience life on a Texas-German farm and marvel at American bison and Texas longhorns.Things to DoSpend the day exploring this unique historical site. Visit the Sauer-Beck­mann Living History Farm. Walk 1.2 miles of trails, passing bison, long­horns, wildflowers, creeks and historic cabins. Tour the adjacent LBJ Ranch.Fish in the river or play tennis or base­ball year-round. Swim in our pool in the summer. Reserve our group hall, auditorium or amphitheater.Visitors CenterAt the Visitors Center, you’ll see mem­o­ra­bilia from Presi­dent Johnson’s time in office and learn about the land and people that shaped his world view. Check out our short films on LBJ and the park.Shop at our park store for books, souvenirs and other items.Historic cabinsTour the Behrens Cabin, complete with period fur­nish­ings, next to the Visitors Center. German im­mi­grant H.C. Behrens built the two-room dogtrot cabin in the 1870s.Just a short walk down a scenic trail, you’ll find the Danz family log cabin, built in the 1860s.TrailsExplore the park on easy trails. The Nature Trail winds through a forested area, passing by longhorn cattle and leading to the east end of the park and the bison pasture.Sports facilitiesThe Olympic-sized swimming pool is open in summer. We also have two tennis courts and a reservable base­ball field.

Visit the Sauer-Beck&shy;mann Living History Farm. Walk 1.2 miles of trails, passing bison, long&shy;horns, wildflowers, creeks and historic cabins. Tour the adjacent LBJ Ranch.Fish in the river or play tennis or base&shy;ball year-round. Swim in our pool in the summer. Reserve our group hall, auditorium or amphitheater.Visitors CenterAt the Visitors Center, you&rsquo;ll see mem&shy;o&shy;ra&shy;bilia from Presi&shy;dent Johnson&rsquo;s time in office and learn about the land and people that shaped his world view. Check out our short films on LBJ and the park.Shop at our park store for books, souvenirs and other items.Historic cabinsTour the Behrens Cabin, complete with period fur&shy;nish&shy;ings, next to the Visitors Center. German im&shy;mi&shy;grant H.C. Behrens built the two-room dogtrot cabin in the 1870s.Just a short walk down a scenic trail, you&rsquo;ll find the Danz family log cabin, built in the 1860s.TrailsExplore the park on easy trails. The Nature Trail winds through a forested area, passing by longhorn cattle and leading to the east end of the park and the bison pasture.Sports facilitiesThe Olympic-sized swimming pool is open in summer. Visit the Sauer-Beck&shy;mann Living History Farm. Walk 1.2 miles of trails, passing bison, long&shy;horns, wildflowers, creeks and historic cabins. Tour the adjacent LBJ Ranch.Fish in the river or play tennis or base&shy;ball year-round. Swim in our pool in the summer. Reserve our group hall, auditorium or amphitheater.Visitors CenterAt the Visitors Center, you&rsquo;ll see mem&shy;o&shy;ra&shy;bilia from Presi&shy;dent Johnson&rsquo;s time in office and learn about the land and people that shaped his world view. Check out our short films on LBJ and the park.Shop at our park store for books, souvenirs and other items.Historic cabinsTour the Behrens Cabin, complete with period fur&shy;nish&shy;ings, next to the Visitors Center. German im&shy;mi&shy;grant H.C. Behrens built the two-room dogtrot cabin in the 1870s.Just a short walk down a scenic trail, you&rsquo;ll find the Danz family log cabin, built in the 1860s.TrailsExplore the park on easy trails. The Nature Trail winds through a forested area, passing by longhorn cattle and leading to the east end of the park and the bison pasture.Sports facilitiesThe Olympic-sized swimming pool is open in summer. We also have two tennis courts and a reservable base&shy;ball field.</p>		</div>

Experience life on a Texas-German farm and marvel at American bison and Texas longhorns.Things to DoSpend the day exploring this unique historical site. Visit the Sauer-Beck&shy;mann Living History Farm. Walk 1.2 miles of trails, passing bison, long&shy;horns, wildflowers, creeks and historic cabins. Tour the adjacent LBJ Ranch.Fish in the river or play tennis or base&shy;ball year-round. Swim in our pool in the summer. Reserve our group hall, auditorium or amphitheater.Visitors CenterAt the Visitors Center, you&rsquo;ll see mem&shy;o&shy;ra&shy;bilia from Presi&shy;dent Johnson&rsquo;s time in office and learn about the land and people that shaped his world view. Check out our short films on LBJ and the park.Shop at our park store for books, souvenirs and other items.Historic cabinsTour the Behrens Cabin, complete with period fur&shy;nish&shy;ings, next to the Visitors Center. German im&shy;mi&shy;grant H.C. Behrens built the two-room dogtrot cabin in the 1870s.Just a short walk down a scenic trail, you&rsquo;ll find the Danz family log cabin, built in the 1860s.TrailsExplore the park on easy trails. The Nature Trail winds through a forested area, passing by longhorn cattle and leading to the east end of the park and the bison pasture.Sports facilitiesThe Olympic-sized swimming pool is open in summer. We also have two tennis courts and a reservable base&shy;ball field.</p>		</div>

Visit the Sauer-Beck&shy;mann Living History Farm. Walk 1.2 miles of trails, passing bison, long&shy;horns, wildflowers, creeks and historic cabins. Tour the adjacent LBJ Ranch.Fish in the river or play tennis or base&shy;ball year-round. Swim in our pool in the summer. Reserve our group hall, auditorium or amphitheater.Visitors CenterAt the Visitors Center, you&rsquo;ll see mem&shy;o&shy;ra&shy;bilia from Presi&shy;dent Johnson&rsquo;s time in office and learn about the land and people that shaped his world view. Check out our short films on LBJ and the park.Shop at our park store for books, souvenirs and other items.Historic cabinsTour the Behrens Cabin, complete with period fur&shy;nish&shy;ings, next to the Visitors Center. German im&shy;mi&shy;grant H.C. Behrens built the two-room dogtrot cabin in the 1870s.Just a short walk down a scenic trail, you&rsquo;ll find the Danz family log cabin, built in the 1860s.TrailsExplore the park on easy trails. The Nature Trail winds through a forested area, passing by longhorn cattle and leading to the east end of the park and the bison pasture.Sports facilitiesThe Olympic-sized swimming pool is open in summer. Visit the Sauer-Beck&shy;mann Living History Farm. Walk 1.2 miles of trails, passing bison, long&shy;horns, wildflowers, creeks and historic cabins. Tour the adjacent LBJ Ranch.Fish in the river or play tennis or base&shy;ball year-round. Swim in our pool in the summer. Reserve our group hall, auditorium or amphitheater.Visitors CenterAt the Visitors Center, you&rsquo;ll see mem&shy;o&shy;ra&shy;bilia from Presi&shy;dent Johnson&rsquo;s time in office and learn about the land and people that shaped his world view. Check out our short films on LBJ and the park.Shop at our park store for books, souvenirs and other items.Historic cabinsTour the Behrens Cabin, complete with period fur&shy;nish&shy;ings, next to the Visitors Center. German im&shy;mi&shy;grant H.C. Behrens built the two-room dogtrot cabin in the 1870s.Just a short walk down a scenic trail, you&rsquo;ll find the Danz family log cabin, built in the 1860s.TrailsExplore the park on easy trails. The Nature Trail winds through a forested area, passing by longhorn cattle and leading to the east end of the park and the bison pasture.Sports facilitiesThe Olympic-sized swimming pool is open in summer. Experience life on a Texas-German farm and marvel at American bison and Texas longhorns.Things to DoSpend the day exploring this unique historical site. Visit the Sauer-Beck&shy;mann Living History Farm. Walk 1.2 miles of trails, passing bison, long&shy;horns, wildflowers, creeks and historic cabins. Tour the adjacent LBJ Ranch.Fish in the river or play tennis or base&shy;ball year-round. Swim in our pool in the summer. Reserve our group hall, auditorium or amphitheater.Visitors CenterAt the Visitors Center, you&rsquo;ll see mem&shy;o&shy;ra&shy;bilia from Presi&shy;dent Johnson&rsquo;s time in office and learn about the land and people that shaped his world view. Check out our short films on LBJ and the park.Shop at our park store for books, souvenirs and other items.Historic cabinsTour the Behrens Cabin, complete with period fur&shy;nish&shy;ings, next to the Visitors Center. German im&shy;mi&shy;grant H.C. Behrens built the two-room dogtrot cabin in the 1870s.Just a short walk down a scenic trail, you&rsquo;ll find the Danz family log cabin, built in the 1860s.TrailsExplore the park on easy trails. The Nature Trail winds through a forested area, passing by longhorn cattle and leading to the east end of the park and the bison pasture.Sports facilitiesThe Olympic-sized swimming pool is open in summer. Reserve our group hall, auditorium or amphitheater.Visitors CenterAt the Visitors Center, you&rsquo;ll see mem&shy;o&shy;ra&shy;bilia from Presi&shy;dent Johnson&rsquo;s time in office and learn about the land and people that shaped his world view. Check out our short films on LBJ and the park.Shop at our park store for books, souvenirs and other items.Historic cabinsTour the Behrens Cabin, complete with period fur&shy;nish&shy;ings, next to the Visitors Center. German im&shy;mi&shy;grant H.C. Behrens built the two-room dogtrot cabin in the 1870s.Just a short walk down a scenic trail, you&rsquo;ll find the Danz family log cabin, built in the 1860s.TrailsExplore the park on easy trails. The Nature Trail winds through a forested area, passing by longhorn cattle and leading to the east end of the park and the bison pasture.Sports facilitiesThe Olympic-sized swimming pool is open in summer.
