Mission:Steel River Playhouse seeks to strengthen community, inspire creative exploration, educate, and entertain, through the presentation of quality performing arts events and education for diverse audiences.

We are part of a growing number of performing arts organizations creating a new paradigm for American theater.  As a “gateway” theater promoting individual, audience, and community development through performing arts education and events.   Steel River Playhouse is located in historic Pottstown, Pennsylvania and we are committed to its creative and economic revitalization.

Vision:We meld the traditions of volunteerism, camaraderie, and entertainment of community theater, with the artistic goals, education, and professional staff of regional theater.  Our gateway theater:

• Attracts new audiences to live theater, with convenient, affordable and high quality performances, comprehensive educational offerings, and enriching volunteer participation in all aspects of theatre arts, both onstage and off.
• Embraces emerging and established artists, allowing them to take risks, stretch their skills, and present new work.
• Supports community, as a magnet destination promoting Pottstown’s revival as a cultural hub.
• Encourages creative exploration and skill-building for students and volunteers of allages, working side-by-side with professional instructors, performers, directors, and designers.

About Us:

Steel River Playhouse is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit education and performance facility supporting individual and community development through the performing arts.

Each year, Steel River produces over 90 plays, musicals, concerts, and recitals, and hosts thousands of people as audiences, students, artists, donors, and volunteers from throughout the region. We offer performance opportunities for all ages through auditions, performance-based classes and workshops, private lesson recitals, and our popular Senior Follies program.

Our educational offerings include classes and workshops for all ages, an extensive summer camp program, private instruction in acting, voice, piano, guitar, flute, and trumpet, and educational outreach including periodic sample lessons and classes for the public, scholarships, complimentary study guides, audience talk-backs, artists-in-the-classroom, at-theater and traveling children’s shows, after school and summer time enrichment programs, internships, and other initiatives.

<p>We are part of a growing number of performing arts organizations creating a new paradigm for American theater. &nbsp;As a &ldquo;gateway&rdquo; theater promoting individual, audience, and community development through performing arts education and events. &nbsp; Steel River Playhouse is located in historic Pottstown, Pennsylvania and we are committed to its creative and economic revitalization.</p>
<p>Vision:We meld the traditions of volunteerism, camaraderie, and entertainment of community theater, with the artistic goals, education, and professional staff of regional theater. &nbsp;Our gateway theater:</p>

<li>Attracts new audiences to live theater, with convenient, affordable and high quality performances, comprehensive educational offerings, and enriching volunteer participation in all aspects of theatre arts, both onstage and off.</li>
<li>Embraces emerging and established artists, allowing them to take risks, stretch their skills, and present new work.</li>
<li>Supports community, as a magnet destination promoting Pottstown&rsquo;s revival as a cultural hub.</li>
<li>Encourages creative exploration and skill-building for students and volunteers of allages, working side-by-side with professional instructors, performers, directors, and designers.</li>

<p>About Us:</p>
<p>Steel River Playhouse is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit education and performance facility supporting individual and community development through the performing arts.</p>
<p>Each year, Steel River produces over 90 plays, musicals, concerts, and recitals, and hosts thousands of people as audiences, students, artists, donors, and volunteers from throughout the region. We offer performance opportunities for all ages through auditions, performance-based classes and workshops, private lesson recitals, and our popular Senior Follies program.</p>
<p>Our educational offerings include classes and workshops for all ages, an extensive summer camp program, private instruction in acting, voice, piano, guitar, flute, and trumpet, and educational outreach including periodic sample lessons and classes for the public, scholarships, complimentary study guides, audience talk-backs, artists-in-the-classroom, at-theater and traveling children&rsquo;s shows, after school and summer time enrichment programs, internships, and other initiatives.</p>		</div>

<p>We are part of a growing number of performing arts organizations creating a new paradigm for American theater. &nbsp;As a &ldquo;gateway&rdquo; theater promoting individual, audience, and community development through performing arts education and events. &nbsp; Steel River Playhouse is located in historic Pottstown, Pennsylvania and we are committed to its creative and economic revitalization.</p>
<p>Vision:We meld the traditions of volunteerism, camaraderie, and entertainment of community theater, with the artistic goals, education, and professional staff of regional theater. &nbsp;Our gateway theater:</p>
<ul>
<li>Attracts new audiences to live theater, with convenient, affordable and high quality performances, comprehensive educational offerings, and enriching volunteer participation in all aspects of theatre arts, both onstage and off.</li>
<li>Embraces emerging and established artists, allowing them to take risks, stretch their skills, and present new work.</li>
<li>Supports community, as a magnet destination promoting Pottstown&rsquo;s revival as a cultural hub.</li>
<li>Encourages creative exploration and skill-building for students and volunteers of allages, working side-by-side with professional instructors, performers, directors, and designers.</li>

<p>About Us:</p>
<p>Steel River Playhouse is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit education and performance facility supporting individual and community development through the performing arts.</p>
<p>Each year, Steel River produces over 90 plays, musicals, concerts, and recitals, and hosts thousands of people as audiences, students, artists, donors, and volunteers from throughout the region. We offer performance opportunities for all ages through auditions, performance-based classes and workshops, private lesson recitals, and our popular Senior Follies program.</p>
<p>Our educational offerings include classes and workshops for all ages, an extensive summer camp program, private instruction in acting, voice, piano, guitar, flute, and trumpet, and educational outreach including periodic sample lessons and classes for the public, scholarships, complimentary study guides, audience talk-backs, artists-in-the-classroom, at-theater and traveling children&rsquo;s shows, after school and summer time enrichment programs, internships, and other initiatives.</p>		</div>

<p>Steel River Playhouse is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit education and performance facility supporting individual and community development through the performing arts.</p>
<p>Each year, Steel River produces over 90 plays, musicals, concerts, and recitals, and hosts thousands of people as audiences, students, artists, donors, and volunteers from throughout the region. We offer performance opportunities for all ages through auditions, performance-based classes and workshops, private lesson recitals, and our popular Senior Follies program.</p>
<p>Our educational offerings include classes and workshops for all ages, an extensive summer camp program, private instruction in acting, voice, piano, guitar, flute, and trumpet, and educational outreach including periodic sample lessons and classes for the public, scholarships, complimentary study guides, audience talk-backs, artists-in-the-classroom, at-theater and traveling children&rsquo;s shows, after school and summer time enrichment programs, internships, and other initiatives.</p>		</div>

<p>We are part of a growing number of performing arts organizations creating a new paradigm for American theater. &nbsp;As a &ldquo;gateway&rdquo; theater promoting individual, audience, and community development through performing arts education and events. &nbsp; Steel River Playhouse is located in historic Pottstown, Pennsylvania and we are committed to its creative and economic revitalization.</p>
<p>Vision:We meld the traditions of volunteerism, camaraderie, and entertainment of community theater, with the artistic goals, education, and professional staff of regional theater. &nbsp;Our gateway theater:</p>
<ul>
<li>Attracts new audiences to live theater, with convenient, affordable and high quality performances, comprehensive educational offerings, and enriching volunteer participation in all aspects of theatre arts, both onstage and off.</li>
<li>Embraces emerging and established artists, allowing them to take risks, stretch their skills, and present new work.</li>
<li>Supports community, as a magnet destination promoting Pottstown&rsquo;s revival as a cultural hub.</li>
<li>Encourages creative exploration and skill-building for students and volunteers of allages, working side-by-side with professional instructors, performers, directors, and designers.</li>

<p>Steel River Playhouse is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit education and performance facility supporting individual and community development through the performing arts.</p>
<p>Each year, Steel River produces over 90 plays, musicals, concerts, and recitals, and hosts thousands of people as audiences, students, artists, donors, and volunteers from throughout the region. We offer performance opportunities for all ages through auditions, performance-based classes and workshops, private lesson recitals, and our popular Senior Follies program.</p>
<p>Our educational offerings include classes and workshops for all ages, an extensive summer camp program, private instruction in acting, voice, piano, guitar, flute, and trumpet, and educational outreach including periodic sample lessons and classes for the public, scholarships, complimentary study guides, audience talk-backs, artists-in-the-classroom, at-theater and traveling children&rsquo;s shows, after school and summer time enrichment programs, internships, and other initiatives.</p>		</div>

<p>We are part of a growing number of performing arts organizations creating a new paradigm for American theater. &nbsp;As a &ldquo;gateway&rdquo; theater promoting individual, audience, and community development through performing arts education and events. &nbsp; Steel River Playhouse is located in historic Pottstown, Pennsylvania and we are committed to its creative and economic revitalization.</p>
<p>Vision:We meld the traditions of volunteerism, camaraderie, and entertainment of community theater, with the artistic goals, education, and professional staff of regional theater. &nbsp;Our gateway theater:</p>

<p>Steel River Playhouse is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit education and performance facility supporting individual and community development through the performing arts.</p>
<p>Each year, Steel River produces over 90 plays, musicals, concerts, and recitals, and hosts thousands of people as audiences, students, artists, donors, and volunteers from throughout the region. 						<p>Mission:Steel River Playhouse seeks to strengthen community, inspire creative exploration, educate, and entertain, through the presentation of quality performing arts events and education for diverse audiences.</p>
<p>We are part of a growing number of performing arts organizations creating a new paradigm for American theater. &nbsp;As a &ldquo;gateway&rdquo; theater promoting individual, audience, and community development through performing arts education and events. &nbsp; Steel River Playhouse is located in historic Pottstown, Pennsylvania and we are committed to its creative and economic revitalization.</p>
<p>Vision:We meld the traditions of volunteerism, camaraderie, and entertainment of community theater, with the artistic goals, education, and professional staff of regional theater. &nbsp;Our gateway theater:</p>
<ul>
<li>Attracts new audiences to live theater, with convenient, affordable and high quality performances, comprehensive educational offerings, and enriching volunteer participation in all aspects of theatre arts, both onstage and off.</li>
<li>Embraces emerging and established artists, allowing them to take risks, stretch their skills, and present new work.</li>
<li>Supports community, as a magnet destination promoting Pottstown&rsquo;s revival as a cultural hub.</li>
<li>Encourages creative exploration and skill-building for students and volunteers of allages, working side-by-side with professional instructors, performers, directors, and designers.</li>

<p>About Us:</p>
<p>Steel River Playhouse is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit education and performance facility supporting individual and community development through the performing arts.</p>
<p>Each year, Steel River produces over 90 plays, musicals, concerts, and recitals, and hosts thousands of people as audiences, students, artists, donors, and volunteers from throughout the region. We offer performance opportunities for all ages through auditions, performance-based classes and workshops, private lesson recitals, and our popular Senior Follies program.</p>
<p>Our educational offerings include classes and workshops for all ages, an extensive summer camp program, private instruction in acting, voice, piano, guitar, flute, and trumpet, and educational outreach including periodic sample lessons and classes for the public, scholarships, complimentary study guides, audience talk-backs, artists-in-the-classroom, at-theater and traveling children&rsquo;s shows, after school and summer time enrichment programs, internships, and other initiatives.</p>		</div>

<p>We are part of a growing number of performing arts organizations creating a new paradigm for American theater. &nbsp;As a &ldquo;gateway&rdquo; theater promoting individual, audience, and community development through performing arts education and events. &nbsp; Steel River Playhouse is located in historic Pottstown, Pennsylvania and we are committed to its creative and economic revitalization.</p>
<p>Vision:We meld the traditions of volunteerism, camaraderie, and entertainment of community theater, with the artistic goals, education, and professional staff of regional theater. &nbsp;Our gateway theater:</p>

<li>Attracts new audiences to live theater, with convenient, affordable and high quality performances, comprehensive educational offerings, and enriching volunteer participation in all aspects of theatre arts, both onstage and off.</li>
<li>Embraces emerging and established artists, allowing them to take risks, stretch their skills, and present new work.</li>
<li>Supports community, as a magnet destination promoting Pottstown&rsquo;s revival as a cultural hub.</li>
<li>Encourages creative exploration and skill-building for students and volunteers of allages, working side-by-side with professional instructors, performers, directors, and designers.</li>

<p>Steel River Playhouse is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit education and performance facility supporting individual and community development through the performing arts.</p>
<p>Each year, Steel River produces over 90 plays, musicals, concerts, and recitals, and hosts thousands of people as audiences, students, artists, donors, and volunteers from throughout the region. We offer performance opportunities for all ages through auditions, performance-based classes and workshops, private lesson recitals, and our popular Senior Follies program.</p>
<p>Our educational offerings include classes and workshops for all ages, an extensive summer camp program, private instruction in acting, voice, piano, guitar, flute, and trumpet, and educational outreach including periodic sample lessons and classes for the public, scholarships, complimentary study guides, audience talk-backs, artists-in-the-classroom, at-theater and traveling children&rsquo;s shows, after school and summer time enrichment programs, internships, and other initiatives.</p>		</div>
