Hiking through forested hills of pine and mixed hardwoods, visitors might catch sight of fox squirrels, white-tailed deer, gray foxes or many species of native and migratory birds. Campers can launch from a boat ramp to enjoy some of the best freshwater fishing in the state, or fish from a 100-foot pier in the camping area. A shady picnic area, with tables and grills, overlooks the lake.The park is currently in recovery following Hurricane Michael. Previously, for large gatherings, three pavilions were available for rental. For overnight visitors, full-facility (no sewer hook-up, dump station only) campgrounds next to the lake and modern cabins were available. When the park reopens, please contact the park for information regarding camping availability.ExperiencesBicyclingThere are over seven miles of trails and paved roads in the park for bicyclists to enjoy (semi-rough terrain with moderate elevation changes).  Helmets are highly recommended for all cyclists and Florida law requires helmets for cyclists age 16 and under.BirdingBird viewing opportunities are bountiful at Three Rivers State Park! We have our very own bird watching check list made readily available to those interested.  American Bald Eagles make their nests within the park, and can be seen soaring over the lake. Waterfowl by the hundreds seek refuge in the quiet bays and sloughs that surround the park.Boat RampThere are two small boat ramps within the park, suitable for smaller watercraft. One ramp is located within the campground, for use by registered campers only. The other ramp is located close to the picnic area, for general use by park visitors. There are also two county-maintained boat ramps that will accommodate larger craft; one of these ramps is found on the eastern boundary of the park, the other is found on the western boundary of the park.CabinsThree Rivers State Park only has one cabin.A one bedroom, one bathroom rustic cabin with air conditioning, heating and a wood-burning fireplace overlooks Lake Seminole. A queen size bed in a downstairs bedroom and a standard size bed in the loft provide comfortable sleeping accommodations. A fully equipped kitchen includes an electric stove, microwave, refrigerator and utensils. Bring linens, pillows, food and fishing gear.For the guest's relaxation, televisions and phones are not provided.Reservations may be made up to 11 months in advance through ReserveAmerica. Book Online or call (800) 326-3521 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.) or TDD (888) 433-0287Pets are not permitted in cabins.There is a minimum two nights stay in cabins on weekends and holidays, either Friday and Saturday night, or Saturday and Sunday nights. A single Friday or Saturday night may be reserved only if the following Saturday or Sunday night is already reserved.Cabin Rental: $65 per night, plus tax and a non-refundable $6.70 reservation fee.CampingBoth Florida and Georgia are in view from the park's campground located near the banks of Lake Seminole. Water, electricity, a picnic table and a grill ring are available at each of 30 shaded, semi-private campsites. Pets are welcome at the campsites. Restrooms are located in the park. A dump station is located in the camping area. The campground includes a small boat ramp and a large fishing pier that extends out onto Lake Seminole.Maximum RV length = 50 ft.Reservations may be made up to 11 months in advance through ReserveAmerica. Call the park at (850) 482-9006  to make reservations.PaddlingLake Seminole provides an excellent venue for canoeing and kayaking. Aluminum canoes can be rented by campers at the park for $15 per day. Personal floatation devices and paddles are provided.FishingFishing is a popular activity at the park since Lake Seminole is well-known for its yields. Largemouth and smallmouth bass, catfish, bluegill, speckled perch, and bream are some of the fish that might be landed by anglers.All fishing within the park must conform to regulations concerning size, number, method of capture and season.  A fishing license may be required.  More information is available at the Florida Wildlife Commission’s Fishing in Florida.Hiking Nature TrailTrail users can travel the rolling hills of our upland pine habitat and along the shoreline of Lake Seminole. There are four self-guided nature trails providing five miles of hiking pleasure. All trails are accessible from both the picnic/day-use and camping areas. In addition, there are over seven miles of trails and paved roads for bicyclists. Because of terrain and elevation, helmets are required at all times by those under 16 years of age, but are suggested for everyone.PicnickingA large picnic area in the park overlooks Lake Seminole, providing spectacular views of the lake, and the Georgia shoreline on the opposite side of the lake. Three picnic pavilions, grills, picnic tables, and a restroom are located in the picnic area. A hiking trail also begins in the picnic area.WalkingTrail users can travel the rolling hills of our upland pine habitat and along the shoreline of Lake Seminole. There are four self-guided nature trails providing five miles of hiking pleasure. All trails are accessible from both the picnic/day-use and camping areas. In addition, there are over seven miles of trails and paved roads for bicyclists and walkers alike. Because of terrain and elevation, helmets are suggested and/or required.AmenitiesPetsPets are welcome at the park as long as they are kept on a six-foot leash and are well behaved. Pets are also allowed to stay in the campground under the same guidelines. NOTE: Sorry, pets are NOT allowed to stay in the cabin or cabin area. Pets are also NOT allowed in the group camp area.  Please pick up after your pet and do not allow them to run free or bark incessantly.Picnic PavilionThere are three open air picnic pavilions located in the day-use area. Each of these pavilions can be reserved for $30 plus tax by calling the park at 850-482-9006Pavilions can be used without a reservation on a first-come, first-served basis.PlaygroundThere is a small playground within the park, located in the picnic area.
